Skincare is something that is essential for both men and women alike. In some of our previous articles, we have been stressing on how we need to take care of our skin. Given that it is, in fact, the largest organ of our that also gets most affected by the pollution. So, we thought why not provide a complete tutorial for our readers with a perfect daily skincare routine. Here we are with our video pick of the day. In this video, famous YouTuber Michelle Phan describes her daily evening skincare routine. She focuses mostly on organic products that hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. Let’s move on to some quick highlights of the video so you can keep track of everything.

Michelle describes five quick steps that you can take every evening as part of your skincare routine. The video is a bit long for an average person but it is worth every second. She has really gone in depth with the five basic basic steps which are tried and tested by her. These steps if followed on a daily basis are going to make your skin healthy, fresh and young. Some products that Michelle suggested are a nit high-end. But don’t worry, she includes a more budget friendly alternative alongside as well. So here goes.

Step 1: Cleanse | The Ultimate Skincare Routine

As basic as it gets, proper cleansing is actually the key to keeping the skin healthy. Proper cleansing makes sure that your skin absorbs whatever products you are putting on it. Michelle recommends something rather unconventional – using cleansing oils. Instead of using harsh chemical soaps, using cleansing oils will hydrate and rejuvenate your skin. You don’t have to spend a lot of money here. Any certified organic olive oil can be the perfect homemade cleanser to not only wear the dust off but to clean the makeup as well. Don’t worry, it isn’t going to make the skin oily. It is gonna nourish the skin properly instead. But be sure to go for an organic product with less alcohol and parabens.

On super lazy nights, you can just go for a makeup remover instead of cleansing oils. The makeup remover that Michelle recommends is gentle on skin and has added moisturizer that keeps the skin hydrated. Use the cleansing veil as part of your makeup routine, swipe across your face and you are all done!

Step 2: Treat | The Ultimate Skincare Routine

The best way to treat your skin is through a clay mask. The clay mask contains bentonite clay that brings impurities and toxins to the surface. Rinse it and you are good to go. Michelle’s old fashioned budget friendly trick is to use organic unscented kitty litter in place of a clay mask. All it contains is the bentonite clay so it is good to be used in place of an expensive mask. Another good natural treatment is the honey mask.

Honey has natural antibiotic properties and it is really good for acne prone skin. You can use antibiotic rich special honey twice a week on your face. Apply the honey mask for 5-10 minutes and just rinse it off. It will heal and lighten up your skin like none other. You can also use a skin mask to treat your skin. Your pick. You can also make your own mask using cotton pads and essence. Douse the cotton pads in essence, apply on your skin and you will get a treatment like skin mask.

Step 3: Tone | The Ultimate Skincare Routine

Be careful on what’s in the market in toners line these days. A lot of products out there has a lot of alcohol that makes the skin dry. And we don’t want that at all. So choose a product that is more on the gentle moisturizing side. You can use Apple Cider Vinegar in place of a toner if you are looking for something organic. Michelle recommends her favorite brand so be sure to check it out. Apple Cider Vinegar can be a little strong when used raw. So use water alongside. Apply apple cider vinegar on one cotton pad and water on another and rinse them all over your face together. Believe us, its all the toning you are going to need and its all natural.

Step 4: Nourish | The Ultimate Skincare Routine

For nourishment, you need projects that produce collagen in the skin and increase its luminosity. So invest in products that have vitamin C in it. You need to apply the serum of your choice before the moisturizer. It will help give extra boost to your skin. It is kind of like taking supplements if you don’t have the best diet. Another essential vitamin to use in vitamin A or retinol. It is a really good ingredient which rejuvenates the skin faster. But it can also make your skin dry. Use this supplement on your forehead, nasal labial folds and below eyes a little bit. Be sure to apply a good moisturizer afterwards.

Step 5: Hydrate | The Ultimate Skincare Routine

The trick to hydrating is choosing a moisturizer that is light and doesn’t weigh you down. People using think the opposite. That is the heavier the moisturizer the better. However, heavier and greasier moisturizer is better for old skin. You need to use light refreshing moisturizer if you are below fifty. You can also use oil based moisturizers. Olive oil, coconut oil can work as a good moisturizer as well. Beside hydration,it will keep the skin irritation off the table giving you a more natural, smooth and healthy look.

So these were the 5 steps to the ultimate daily skincare routine that you need to use daily to make your skin looks better. Below is the complete video tutorial, do check it out. If you want more tutorials and skincare tips keep visiting us. In the meantime, enjoy!
